Betsy Bush

After 12 1/2 years in Alaska, I am really happy to be back in Denver! I began my career in Esthetics in 2004, after experiencing hormonal changes with my skin. Rather than seeking treatment, I decided to go to school to learn and understand the underlying causes, as well as possible solutions. I attended the Aveda Institute in Victoria, BC, where I received a superior education. Because the school is in Canada, I was trained in European style of facials, which is a far stricter and more rigid style than American styles. My training was based on Ayurvedic teachings, a holistic approach, that embraces wellness throughout the entire body, mind and soul. I went on to further my Esthetics training with many advanced classes, including microdermabrasion, light therapy, electric treatments, thermo effect modelage and other advanced techniques. I also was privileged to study under Singapore Shiatsu professional, Terry Liew, who trains estheticians worldwide in the art of Japanese massage and anti-aging techniques.
In spite of my exceptional esthetic education, I still felt the need to learn more. I wanted to have a more complete understanding of the body and its systems, so in 2005, I enrolled in massage school. Now, with both the esthetic and massage training I feel that I have a well rounded grasp of the body and am able to incorporate that knowledge to provide the best possible services. I specialize in deep tissue work, neuromuscular and trigger point skills, and have advanced Myofascial training and Myoskeletal Certifications. My studies encompass a wide variety of other techniques and modalities, including but not limited to, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Reiki, lymphatic drainage, acupressure, prenatal and hot stone. Most recently, I have added Ashiatsu, which means foot pressure in Japanese. It is an incredibly effective, transformative massage that is deceptively deep, without the pain of many deep tissues massages. I continually seek every opportunities to learn more styles, information and healing ways that I can pass along to my clients.
My mission is to provide the highest quality services, the best products and professional, educated advice in a comfortable and serene environment. I want to share my knowledge and to teach. I want my clients to experience services that are exceptionally unique and far beyond their expectations. My hope is that after their service they will feel as if they have been transported to a higher place of wellness.
I am committed to using organic products. In this day and age, when people are experiencing more allergies than ever before, scientists are finding that in actuality, often times, it is the pesticides and chemicals that are the bigger problem than the product. I want to know that the products that I introduce to a clients skin are the safest and most effective. I want to educate my clients about feeding and nourishing their skin. So often these days society is inundated with quick fixes, however, the long term negative effects are not disclosed. I prefer to feed and heal the skin and fortunately Eminence Organics skincare provides hundreds of beautiful products to help me do just that!
I want my work to reflect my life. In both, I strive for a greener existence, both with the products I buy and use, and the lifestyles that I choose. I want to lead by example and always be full of enthusiasm, optimism and an insatiable thirst for growth. I find balance by combining my work with my love of the outdoors. I love to ski, run, travel, bike, do yoga, cook, eat and learn!
After running an extremely busy and successful business in Anchorage, AK for the many years, I made the decision to return to Denver in 2014. Since then I have enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and also creating relationships with new friends and clients. I am proud of the business that I have built here and would love for you to to be a part of it.
